Before & After Pictures

On July 25th, 2008 we took the plunge! 

To date – We've removed several 40 yard dumsters of garbage, tin, and wire. We've taken down several make-shift buildings/structures, removed all of the old fencing and installed new, built 6 new loafing sheds, plus a variety of other projects. All of this work is sure to make a fresh start and a safe haven for all of the horses.
 

Below are some before and after pictures of our new farm. We still have a lot of work ahead of us yet...but, we feel we've come along way in the short time we've had. 

Check back often to see the progress of our ongoing projects.

We would like to thank all of our friends and family - who have all pitched in to make this a refreshing equine retreat!

In June of 2009 - we converted a playhouse into a chicken coop and put up a run.


We currently have 8 laying hens.

Let's get to work...

After we brush cut - we needed to get it off of the fields. We baled 100 bales to use
for the bottom row of our hay storage.

We decided to remove ALL of the electrical and start over....

After clearing just some of the downed trees - our wood piles...


In June of 2009 - we decided to get a few chickens. We started with a childs playouse...


...then we insulated it.


Once it was insulated - we sheeted the interior.


...then built the nexing boxes and the roosts.


...then it was time for the "Final Inspection"


In July of 2009 - Dave built a fire pit with 3500 lbs of rocks and boulders.
